The World Says No To the Embargo on Cuba, a celebratory online concert with Morena Son, an all-women band from Santiago de Cuba.

From Global Exchange:
On Thursday, July 1 at 8pm ET / 5pm PT join us for The World Says No To the Embargo on Cuba, a celebratory online concert with Morena Son, an all-women band from Santiago de Cuba. Global Exchange, Codepink, Americas Program, The People’s Forum, Center for Global Justice, IFCO/Pastors for Peace, WPFW, WBAI, Radio Jornalera and Violeta Radio are hosting this incredible concert to celebrate yesterday’s vote at the United Nations, when the world once again came together to denounce the cruel U.S. blockade of Cuba. The resolution was adopted for the 29th time with 184 votes in favor, three abstentions and two no votes – the United States and Israel – with the Biden administration continuing Washington’s tradition of voting against the resolution. The U.N. vote carries political weight, but only the U.S. Congress can lift the 60-year-old embargo. We stand with the 184 countries who voted to end the crippling U.S. embargo. Join us on July 1st to dance, sing and let it be known that NOW is the time to end the embargo. This event will be livestreamed on Zoom (RSVP here), Facebook (RSVP here) and Youtube.
