On May 24, 2021, the Duluth (MN) News-Tribune published an editorial piece about the value of trade with Cuba if the current embargo was lifted. A bill introduced in the Senate by cosponsors Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Jerry Moran (R-KS) would open trade between our nations, offering food and other supplies to Cuba and jobs and a new export outlet to the US. Ending the blockade is not just right the right thing to do, it is a fiscally sound thing to do as well. Read the article here.
